At AWT Jeep we carry a wide range of lift kits and one of our favorites comes from the granddaddy of aftermarket suspension systems, Skyjacker Suspension. Starting out as a one bay operation in 1974, Skyjacker has used its focus on technology and solid manufacturing processes to become one of the most popular lift kit and shock makers in the country. Today they make a wide line of aftermarket products from their plant and distribution center which has grown from one bay to 20,000 square feet.
It has been an interesting ride for the company having been recognized on Law and Order SVU, Lara Croft and the Tomb Raiders, Duck Dynasty shows/films as well as numerous SEMA awards. In 2018 they were the first company to come out with an aftermarket suspension for the Jeep Wrangler JL and again in for the Gladiator. Why Skyjacker Lifts are so Popular with Jeep Drivers
We sell and install a bunch of Skyjacker suspension products, including lifts, for TJ, JK, JL Wranglers and of course the JT Gladiator. Why are they so popular? For starters, each kit is specifically designed and engineered for specific year and model Jeep. From an installer's point of view, installing a Skyjacker lift is comparatively simple because it comes with everything required including a set of Skyjack shocks. There's no need for additional parts or doing a work around to get the kit installed.
From the Jeep owner's perspective, Skyjacker gives them the options they want. Generally speaking, they have a 2.5", 3.5", or 4.5" lift kit for every Jeep model. We talked about the quality and durability of the parts and the company backs the whole package up with a Limited Lifetime Warranty (providing the vehicle is equipped with Skyjacker shocks). If you drive something bigger than a Wrangler, like one of the monster RAM pickups, Skyjacker can get you a 9" lift. Hopefully you have side steps and really long legs.
And then there's the price.
Skyjacker is one of the most competitively priced lift kits (from a trusted brand) on the market. Are there kits that offer better performance than Skyjacker? Yes, there are and if you think you are going to get the same ride from a $2500 Rough Country or Pro Comp 4" lift from a $1000 Skyjacker 4" kit you are going to be disappointed. But the differences aren't that great, and the durability is about the same. The Skyjacker is an economical way to give your ride the lift you want.
